Founder & Principal Agent

Born and raised in the heart of Prato's textile district, Alessandro Giraldi has spent over three decades immersed in the world of Italian fabrics — from the factory floor to the international showroom.

His career spans factory ownership, luxury accessories production for the world's most prestigious brands, and independent consultancy — a journey that has given him a uniquely complete perspective on the entire textile supply chain.

Today, through Indipendent, he works directly with select Prato-based manufacturers to bring their collections to buyers in Korea, Turkey, and Austria — providing not just sales representation but full technical and creative consultancy.

Career Timeline

A Journey Through Italian Textiles

1990 — 2001

Tegitex — Combed Fabric Factory

Founded and owned Tegitex, a manufacturing company born for the production of combed fabrics. Gained deep hands-on knowledge of fabric construction, yarn selection, and industrial production processes.

2001

Merger — Birth of the GF Group

The Tegitex wool mill merged with the Gifitex wool mill, creating the GF Group — a company specialised in the Accessories sector, producing for the world's largest luxury brands.

2001 — 2017

GF Group — Luxury Accessories Production

Led the GF Group for sixteen years, working directly with major luxury houses. This period produced deep expertise in quality standards, CAD-driven design, and the requirements of the premium accessories market. During this period, a unique patented process for luxury packaging bags was developed.

2017 — Present

Indipendent — Technical Office & Agency

Founded Indipendent as a technical office and commercial agency for the creation of exclusive men's and women's collections. Collections are designed and produced by Prato-based companies, then marketed worldwide under complete creative and commercial control.
